Student Membership Terms and Conditions:

Welcome to the United Services Institute - Australian Capital Territory (USI-ACT) Student Membership Program. By becoming a student member, you agree to adhere to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before joining.

 

1. Membership Eligibility:

a. To be eligible for student membership, you must be a full-time student enrolled in an accredited educational institution.

b. USI-ACT reserves the right to request proof of your student status at any time during your membership.

 

2. Membership Application:

a. You may apply for student membership through the official USI-ACT website or by completing a physical application form provided by USI-ACT.

b. All information provided during the application process must be accurate and up-to-date.

 

3. Membership Duration:

a. Student memberships are valid for one academic year.

b. Membership may be renewed for subsequent academic years, provided the member still meets the eligibility criteria.

 

4. Membership Fees:

a. Student membership fees will be determined by USI-ACT and may be subject to change.

b. Payment of membership fees is required to activate and maintain your student membership.

c. Membership fees are non-refundable.

 

5. Benefits of Student Membership:

a. Student members are entitled to attend USI-ACT events, seminars, and conferences at a reduced rate.

b. Student members may have access to exclusive publications, resources, and networking opportunities.

c. Student members will receive periodic updates and communications from USI-ACT.

 

6. Code of Conduct:

a. Student members are expected to adhere to the highest standards of professionalism and respect during all USI-ACT activities.

b. Disruptive, disrespectful, or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated, and USI-ACT reserves the right to revoke membership privileges for such behaviour.

 

7. Privacy Policy:

a. USI-ACT will collect and use your personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy.

b. By becoming a member, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information as described in the Privacy Policy.

 

8. Termination of Membership:

a. USI-ACT reserves the right to terminate a student membership at its discretion, with or without cause.

b. Termination may occur due to a violation of these terms and conditions, disruptive behaviour, or any other reason deemed appropriate by USI-ACT.

c. In the event of membership termination, membership fees will not be refunded.

 

9. Changes to Terms and Conditions:

a. USI-ACT may update these terms and conditions at any time.

b. Members will be notified of any changes, and it is their responsibility to review and comply with the updated terms and conditions.

 

10. Governing Law:

a. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Australian Capital Territory.

b. Any disputes arising from or related to these terms and conditions will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the Australian Capital Territory.

 

By applying for and maintaining your student membership with USI-ACT, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms and conditions. Violation of these terms and conditions may result in the revocation of your membership privileges.
