The Blamey Oration
The Field Marshal Sir Thomas Blamey Memorial Fund in partnership with the Royal United Services Institute of Australia conduct Blamey Orations around the country. United Services Institute of the ACT (USI-ACT) has strong ties with Defence and has had a long history of support from, and engagement with, Defence as the Institute seeks to promote awareness and discussion of National Security and Defence issues. The Blamey Oration is an annual event held in Canberra and eminent speakers are invited from all over the world to address the USI-ACT membership and guests. These speakers have included GEN Stan McChrystal (US Army), GEN John Allen (USMC), GEN Peter van Uhm (Dutch CDF), David Killcullen and many other notable identities closely associated with our National Security and Defence interests. For more information on the Blamey Oration and it's history please follow the below link: the-blamey-oration.html
